Laifen made its name with fast, affordable hairdryers, then moved into toothbrushes with the original Wave in 2023. The Wave Pro, shown at CES 2026, is the serious follow-up, and it’s had good reviews from UK testers over the summer.
A hybrid motion
Most electric toothbrushes either oscillate a round head (Oral-B) or vibrate a long head side to side (Sonicare). The Wave Pro does both: the head sweeps through a 60-degree arc while vibrating at up to 66,000 times per minute. Expert Reviews found it unusual at first but effective, and noted that its Deep Clean mode cleaned noticeably more thoroughly than its Daily mode.
The feel is firmer than a Sonicare and less buzzy than an older Oral-B. Some testers find it louder than rivals.
Battery
This is the headline. Laifen claims up to 70 days on a charge. Independent reports describe runtime well past a month of twice-daily use, and one aggregated review notes about 94 days logged by a tester. Even if your results are half that, nothing from Oral-B or Philips comes close.
The rest
- Two modes (Daily and Deep Clean), three intensities
- Pressure sensor
- Magnetic wireless charging
- Versions: ABS plastic (lightest, about $100 on October 30), aluminium (about $120), and transparent or stainless steel (about $130). All share the motor, the 70-day battery claim, IPX8 water resistance and the app.

Handle Replacement heads
The ecosystem question
Heads come from Laifen only, mainly through its own store and Amazon. They’re reasonably priced, but you can’t pick them up at a pharmacy. Laifen has also been making toothbrushes for a few years, not decades, so long-term battery health and support are less proven than Oral-B’s or Philips’.
Versions and prices on Amazon US
Every Wave Pro uses the same motor and heads; you’re choosing the body. On October 30, 2026, Laifen’s own Amazon store sold the ABS plastic versions (white, blue, pink) at about $100, the metal-bodied blue, silver and pink versions at about $120, and the clear and stainless steel versions at about $130. All were first listed on January 26, 2026. The plastic one is the sensible buy; the metal ones are for people who care how the bathroom shelf looks.
WaveMotion and the Modified Bass technique
Laifen says the motion was inspired by the Modified Bass technique, which many hygienists teach: bristles angled at about 45 degrees into the gumline, small vibrating strokes, then a sweep away from the gum. The Wave Pro pairs a wide 60-degree oscillation with 66,000 vibrations a minute to imitate that. In use you hold it like a sonic brush, angled at the gumline, and move slowly; don’t pause on each tooth the way you would with an Oral-B.
The heads
Laifen’s heads have spiral bristles, indicator bristles that fade when it’s time to replace them, a fine tip for tight spots and soft rubber edges that polish along the gums. Two come in the box, and refills were about $5.00 each in a six-pack, which is cheap for a premium brush. Laifen says its Pro Series head packs fit all its models.
Pressure sensor and modes
Press too hard and the Wave Pro reminds you and slows its motor. There are two modes, Daily Clean and Deep Clean, each with three intensities, and the app lets you fine-tune them further, track your habits and set reminders. The lowest Daily Clean setting is gentle enough for most sensitive mouths.
Water and charging
It’s rated IPX8 and Laifen says it’s safe in the shower. It charges on a wireless base that plugs into USB-C, and the 70-day figure comes from Laifen’s own lab test at two minutes twice a day. Even if real use gives you half that, it’s still the longest-lasting brush we cover.
Laifen Wave Pro or Oral-B iO3?
They’re close in price, so this is a common question. The iO3 bundle (about $110) has the visible light-ring pressure warning, Oral-B’s long track record and heads in every shop. The Wave Pro (about $100) has far longer battery life, cheaper heads and an app, and its hybrid motion suits people who find a round spinning head harsh. If you’ve liked Oral-B before, get the iO3. If you want weeks between charges, the Wave Pro.
The Wave Pro is the most interesting toothbrush of 2026, and the best one to travel with by a wide margin. If you’re comfortable with a newer brand and ordering heads online, it can be your main brush. If not, keep it as your travel brush and let an Oral-B or Sonicare live at home.

How long before the battery dies, and can it be replaced?
Three to five years is the normal range, and on almost every sealed handle the battery is the end of the brush. Nobody sells you a replacement cell, so treat the warranty length as a hint about how much the brand expects it to last.
What we checkedWarranties on the handles here are two years at Oral-B and Philips. Laifen quotes up to 70 days per charge, which means far fewer charge cycles over the same years.

How much will the replacement heads cost me?
Roughly $30 to $60 a year per person at four heads a year, which over three years usually beats what you paid for the handle. Price the heads before you pick the brush, not after.
What we checkedGenuine heads we priced on Amazon US on October 30 ran from about $2.49 each (Aquasonic, eight in a box) to about $18.46 each (Quip Rev).
